A voice of Ukraine to the West

Russia has deported nearly 11,000 Ukrainian children to so-called re-education camps in 2025
Russia has forcibly transferred nearly 11,000 Ukrainian children to 164 camps across Russia and occupied Crimea since the start of 2025, experts from the Regional Centre for Human Rights reported on Sept. 11.
Researcher Kateryna Rashevska said earlier deportations in 2023–2024 saw over 8,000 children taken to 98 institutions, but the scale and militarization of camps have sharply increased this year. One 17-year-old from occupied Kherson was placed in a military camp in Volgograd, according to The Guardian.
Analysts warn that these children face forced assimilation and cultural erasure, as Russia’s state policy of “re-education” continues to target Ukraine’s youngest citizens.
Kremlin confirmed that Ukraine-Russia talks are paused
The Kremlin has confirmed a pause in negotiations with Ukraine, spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told TASS on Sept. 11.
Peskov said Moscow remains open to talks but blamed European powers for obstructing progress. He added that communication channels remain open, though “immediate results” should not be expected.
Poland and Ukraine will train downing drones on the Polish territory
The Polish Defense Ministry said on Sept. 12 that joint Ukrainian-Polish training on drones and anti-drone systems will take place only on Polish territory.
The clarification followed remarks by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sept. 11 suggesting Warsaw had agreed to send representatives to Ukraine. The ministry confirmed the training initiative but stressed it would be hosted in Poland.
Talks are ongoing on deeper cooperation, amid heightened tensions after 19 Russian drones crossed into Poland on Sept. 10, prompting NATO aircraft to shoot down at least three. German media reported the drones were likely targeting Rzeszow Airport, a key hub for aid to Ukraine.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski accused Moscow of a deliberate provocation. Poland has requested NATO consultations under Article 4 and called for a UN Security Council meeting.
