Head of the Presidential Office, Yermak, resigned amid a recent corruption scandal

Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the resignation of the head of his office, right-hand and top peace negotiator, Andriy Yermak, amid a sprawling $100 million corruption scandal that has already taken down two cabinet ministers and entrapped officials in the state nuclear firm Energoatom.

Yermak, long viewed as Ukraine's de facto second-in-command and a key figure in recent Geneva talks with the U.S. on a contentious peace plan, stepped down hours after anti-corruption agents raided his Kyiv apartment, though no formal charges have been filed against him; Zelenskyy accepted the move to quash speculation, praising Yermak's "patriotic" service while vowing a "reset" of the presidential office, including consultations for a successor amid fears the probe could fracture his parliamentary majority and complicate fragile negotiations with Washington.

Kremlin says it received «parameters» of Geneva peace plan

The United States has delivered the key parameters of the peace plan — agreed during the Kyiv–Washington talks in Geneva — to Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed this, adding that the plan will be discussed in Moscow next week.

The talks will likely involve U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, who is expected to arrive in Moscow soon.

Peskov said the negotiations will clarify the “details” regarding international recognition of decisions on the Ukrainian settlement, including who is supposed to recognize the territorial realities between Russia and Ukraine.

Russian troops beat and executed a Ukrainian POW on the Pokrovsk front

A Ukrainian prisoner of war was beaten and executed by Russian soldiers on the Pokrovsk front, the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported.

According to investigators, during a November 2025 assault near the village of Hnativka, Russian troops surrounded and captured a Ukrainian serviceman. One soldier tied the prisoner’s hands while another struck him on the head several times with a rifle butt. When the soldier stopped reacting, the Russians shot him dead.

Prosecutors stressed that killing prisoners of war is a grave violation of the Geneva Conventions and a serious international crime. A pre-trial investigation has been opened, and investigators are working to establish all details and identify those responsible.
