Sadovyi noted that the playground is located near a monument to Stepan Bandera and described the strike as an attack on a “symbolic place.”

Municipal workers were on duty near the site at the time of the strike, including a street cleaner named Olha.

Olha, 59 did not go to a shelter when the air-raid alert sounded and was close to the blast site. After the Shahed drone exploded, she simply returned to shoveling snow.

Trump accused Ukraine of delaying the peace agreement

President of the United States Donald Trump said Ukraine, rather than Russia, is currently holding back a potential peace deal, claiming that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is ready to end the war.

Trump made the remarks in an interview with Reuters, saying he believes Moscow is prepared to negotiate. “I think he’s ready to make a deal. Ukraine is less ready for this,” Trump said.

When asked why peace talks have so far failed to produce results, Trump responded with a single word: “Zelensky.” Pressed by reporters to explain why Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is allegedly stalling negotiations, Trump added, “I just think it’s hard for him to do it.”

Trump also confirmed that he plans to meet Zelensky on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos next week. However, he did not provide details about the agenda or what outcomes might be expected from the meeting.

According to Trump, negotiations are continuing under difficult circumstances, but he argued that Ukraine’s current position is the main factor slowing progress toward a peace agreement.

The Kremlin was very amused by Trumps statement. Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow agrees with the assessment.

According to Peskov, Russia believes Trump’s statement reflects the current state of affairs and reiterated that President Vladimir Putin remains “open to a settlement.”

“The position of the Russian Federation is well known to the American negotiators, directly to President Trump, as well as to Kyiv,” Peskov said.

He added that, in Moscow’s view, the situation surrounding a potential settlement is worsening for Ukraine “day by day,” and suggested tha
